Security
Security built in, with the CakeBoxx Deck And Lid Design
Unlike with standard containers, CakeBoxx eliminates the necessity for doors, which means no easily defeated hinges, hasps or locking bars. This makes CakeBoxx extremely secure and greatly minimises the risk of being compromised for theft or use of the container as a conveyance for illicit goods trafficking, human trafficking or as a weapon. The CakeBoxx lid is secured to the deck using CakeBoxx Technologies’ Vertical Locking System™.
CakeBoxx products are available with doors in the lid with tamper resistant door locking features as an option if required. In addition to this, doors can be locked from the inside prior to closing of the lid, as well as locked externally, securing CakeBoxx to the highest of standards.
In addition to being secure from intruders, CakeBoxx containers are secured from the elements. Industry tough rubber seals between deck and lid as standard ensure cargo is kept dry.

The CakeBoxx deck makes 360 degree side and overhead access for loading and unloading a reality. This eliminates the need for any unsafe working conditions inside cramped spaces which would otherwise be necessary for personnel working with standard conventionally doored containers.
The complete access to cargo offered with the CakeBoxx design also enables loads to be safely and effectively secured for transit from all angles. After loading and before attaching the lid, this can be done using standard strapping, chains, lashing, padding and tarpaulins as necessary with CakeBoxx’s tailored Perimeter Tie Down System (PTS™).
CakeBoxx is the perfect solution for difficult to load or odd shaped goods, and the ability to properly secure cargo will produce a quantifiable reduction in cargo damage during transit; reducing insurance premiums and increasing customer satisfaction.

CakeBoxx products are specifically designed to seamlessly integrate into the existing systems for movement between the various modes of global logistical transport. Our products operate with all commonly utilized yard equipment such as straddle carriers, gantry cranes, reach stackers, empty container handlers, toppicks, sidepicks and forklifts.
For facilities that do not have this type of equipment, CakeBoxxes can be moved by overhead cranes, boom trucks and block-and-tackle. Even a light duty forklift can effectively lift the lid off of a CakeBoxx by using chains, slings or lashing straps or by the use of a “spreader” specifically designed to assist in CakeBoxx lid removal. We also produce Boxxes with fork pockets in the lid which will allow the use of forklifts for lifting and replacing the lid for loading and unloading without slings or chains.

TrusDekTM
All CakeBoxx containers with their deck and lid design are built with the extra-thick TrusDek. This specially engineered deck is designed to carry heavy, top and side-loaded machinery and project cargo shipments that require extreme strength, hardware mounts or under-deck additions. All CakeBoxx decks can be handled fully loaded as a pallet without the lid installed.
Vertical Locking SystemTM
The simple and efficient Vertical Locking System is another feature built into every CakeBoxx product. This easy to use twist lock feature secures and releases the lid and deck, and is a highly reliable, super strong advantage.
Perimeter Tie Down System (PTSTM)
With up to 30 flush-mounted, heavy-duty D-Rings, CakeBoxx’s tailored PTS provides a wide array of lashing options to address any cargo. This allows any uniquely shaped or configured products to be safely secured, greatly reducing the chance of damage. The thickness of the TrusDek allows the floor to be customized with countersunk, threaded attachment points for a variety of anchor fittings or through-bolts allowing cargos to be secured in ways that ordinary containers cannot. CakeBoxx Standard - Integrating Seemlessly
CakeBoxx Standard is the flagship in the CakeBoxx Technologies product line. Dimensionally identical to a standard ISO container, the CakeBoxx Standard also has the same load capacities; making it the perfect choice for optimising regular supply chain operations safely and efficiently.
The unique CakeBoxx deck and lid design seals and secures the container contents entirely, making unauthorised access and theft virtually impossible.
This CakeBoxx integrates seamlessly into all intermodal processes, including stacking, storage, terminal transfers and ship, rail and truck haulage.
CakeBoxx Standard comes as standard in high cube 9’6” height. Other heights available on request. This model is available in both 20’ and 40’ length versions.

ShortBoxx - The Half Height CakeBoxx
At half the height of a CakeBoxx Standard container, the low profile ShortBoxx with its overall height of 4’9” makes it ideal for high gross weight, low volume cargos such as steel, copper or aluminum ingots or long, unwieldy cargos which cannot be end-loaded in standard doored containers.
ShortBoxx is the perfect choice for liquid or granular cargos and chemicals shipped in tanks, drums, barrels or Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) that need to be carefully secured and cannot be stacked two-high. These cargos can be safely secure and snug between the top of the lid and floor preventing them from any possible toppling or shifting in transit.
The unique CakeBoxx deck and lid design seals and secures the container contents entirely, The making unauthorised access and theft virtually impossible. Two ShortBoxx containers can also be safely and efficiently stacked; maximising product haulage potential but with the same footprint as a standard container. ChassisBoxx - The Flatbed CakeBoxx
The new CakeBoxx ChassisBoxx transforms a container chassis to a fully enclosed flatbed trailer for over the road use. When the deck and lid of the ChassisBoxx is installed on a standard container chassis it combines the practical elements of a flatbed trailer with the protective elements of a fully enclosed shipping container.
The deck is simply installed by fitting it to the existing twistlocks on any standard container chassis. Side or top load the cargo and secure it using the Perimeter Tie-down System, then install and lock down the ChassisBoxx lid. The ChassisBoxx and chassis combination can now be fully used as a flatbed trailer, protecting cargo from the elements, theft, vandalism, and general damage caused by uncovered transport – exactly in the same way as a typical fully enclosed shipping container or truck trailer would do. If the lid is not necessary for your cargo, simply use the ChassisBoxx deck with the chassis to deliver your cargo as open flatbed cargo.
